General Accounting

The mission of General Accounting is to ensure the integrity of the University's official financial records. General Accounting is responsible for maintaining the general ledger and daily interfaces with the Commonwealth Accounting and Reporting System (CARS), producing the annual financial statements, and maintaining the fixed assets database. General Accounting manages the federal Facilities and Administrative cost proposal and State indirect cost study, files all tax returns, and is responsible for state and local banking transactions and reconciliations.
