Farewell Heather Strange (rude.)
After 8 years as a valued member of Fiscal Services, Heather Strange is leaving Mason on May 16 to pursue other opportunities. We wish her all the best and hope that you will too!
We are excited to announce that Jessi Adams will serve as interim Director of Fiscal Learning and Engagement! We hope that you will lend her your support and patience during this transition.

Fiscal Transformation Boot Camp

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Spring 2023 Boot Camp session. Recordings and presentation slides will be made available later this month. We will notify everyone through the Fiscal Support and Connections Network (FSCN).
AS WE BEGIN PLANNING FOR THE FALL 2023 BOOT CAMP WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING YOUR IDEAS TO THE MAY FSCN MEETING!
Fiscal Year-End (FY23)
The university’s fiscal year ends on June 30, 2023. We encourage departments to begin planning purchases and/or payments to ensure that supplies, equipment, and services are delivered and paid for by the university’s fiscal year-end. In order to pay for goods and/or services in FY23 the goods must have been delivered, all services must have been rendered, and the invoice(s) must be received in Accounts Payable (acctpay@gmu.edu) by June 9, 2023.

Please review the important information available on the Fiscal Year End Deadlines web page at https://fiscal.gmu.edu/controllers/year-end-deadlines/.
IMPORTANT: FY24 eVA Orders
Please note, orders may not be placed in eVA for FY24 prior to May 23, 2023. Any orders using FY24 prior to May 23 will fail integration and the user will need to create a new order after May 23. Please refer to the fiscal year deadlines above. More information about using eVA is available at https://fiscal.gmu.edu/purchasing/use-eva-purchasing/.
Require Training for eVA Access Starting May 1
All new requests for eVA access will require users to complete the "Purchasing Made Easy - Access Based Training" in MasonLEAPS prior to gaining access to the eVA procurement system. Please plan accordingly and allow time for new users to complete this training before processing purchase requests. Additional information on eVA purchasing is available, here https://fiscal.gmu.edu/purchasing/use-eva-purchasing/
