Virtual Mason Finance Gateway Lunch and Learn sessions
Prerequisite: All employees are required to complete the Mason Finance Gateway Navigation training prior to receiving access. This 30-minute online training provides users with an understanding of how to navigate the new system.

NEW! International Tax Trainings available in MasonLEAPS
Introduction to International Tax Matters - All employees are required to complete this introductory online training prior to processing any payments to the international payees. This online training will provide Mason employees with a basic understanding of U.S. tax and immigration law when making payments to or on behalf of its foreign visitors, vendors, and in some instances, payments for services outside the U.S.

International Employee Hiring Guide - This training is available to employees, supervisors, and HR liaisons, who are involved in hiring foreign nationals on campus. It provides step-by-step guidance related to the SSN application, onboarding, and tax appointment processes.

International Tax Training - Global Employment (Remote work) - All employees who are involved in hiring and employing remote employees outside the U.S. should complete this training before initiating a remote international hiring process. This short online training will provide Mason employees with a basic understanding of challenges global employment presents from the tax and payroll perspective and provide compliant options available to the department that considers having remote employees outside the U.S.

U.S. Tax Training for International Students and Scholars - This training is available to international employees who work in the U.S. It provides a basic understanding of the U.S. tax law as it applies to employment income, informs about relevant tax return resources, and warns about possible scams and tax return errors.
